Financial Forum was founded as

a financial services company more than three decades ago. From the very beginning, we have been passionate believers that the best decisions are not made alone. We have always encouraged our clients to make their decision “out loud.” In 2001, Landy Comstock joined Financial Forum as a financial advisor and later purchased the firm.

Before joining Financial Forum,

Landy was a fourth-generation farmer in the Palouse. Farming shaped him, and he lived what Stephen Covey wrote in his 1994 book, First Things First, that natural laws and principles determine harvest. One lesson he learned farming is that there are no shortcuts or cramming on the farm. Landy applies those lessons to the financial industry, as well. He believes there are no shortcuts to financial security — it takes effort and discipline. We are your coaches and team members in this process. We help you prioritize goals, identify resources, marshal those resources, and constantly evaluate our progress.

Just like on the farm, there will be a time to till the land, a time to plant seeds, a time to clear the thorns, and a time to harvest.

OUR NAME’S SIGNIFICANT MEANING

The best decisions are made through discussion. Financial Forum’s founder, Ron Reynolds, often remarked that important decisions shouldn’t be made alone. He recommended consulting three trusted advisors. Trusted advisors can be almost anyone, like parents, friends, or spouses. Often, though, the expertise of professionals like financial advisors, CPAs, and attorneys is required.

At Financial Forum, we strive to be one of your trusted advisors and to provide a place for these discussions. It is not unusual for our client meetings to include multiple advisors or professionals because we believe that multiple perspectives, opinions, and possible solutions lead to better decisions and outcomes.
